Dancer, choreographer and actress Ula Liagaitė is working and living between Argentina, Germany and Lithuania, with a Bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in England.

Ula is one of the co - founders of a Berlin based performance collective Noi Ansamble - an international group of nine artists coming from the backgrounds of visual and performing arts. Since 2018 Noi Ansamble has been resident artists at Liebig 12 and has presented their work in Acker Stadt Palast, Acud Macht Neu (“ First to Blink” (2019) and “Tourist abroad” (2020) as part of Transmediale Vorspiel) as well as other venues around Berlin. Liagaitė is co - founder of Fck the Fckrz - a movement created as a reaction to current political struggles. Their work focuses on raising awareness by placing their bodies where they need to be: organising open discussions, podcasts and solidarity events (FCK THE FCKRZ : #1 Episode: Brazil!; #2 Episode: Chile!; #3 Episode:Open Discussion @Acker Stadt Palast; #4 Episode: Solidarity Party: Fundraising for Sagrada Mercancía; #5 Episode: Global Moment Regional Context: Iran).

As of 2014 she has continuously studied and worked at LEM, a space dedicated to the promotion and development of moving and performing arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 2017 Ula has been part of the dance troupe [La Otra], led by Viviana Iasparra in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As of 2015 Ula Liagaitė with her sister Bartė Liagaitė are engaged in the Movement to Movement project, which explores movement and functional scenography as a practice with technical and performative values, mostly working in Lithuania.

Ula has been able to apply her research not only to solo work but also working with world renowned choreographers and directors such as Terry Giliiam (La Damation de Faust June 2017; Staatsoper Berlin, Germany), Fengyi Tan SS19 (2018 September; London Fashion Week, England) and Sylbee Kim (Trinity: Finance-Credo-Spirituality March 2019; MMCA Seoul, South Korea). Ula Liagaitė is also one of the actors working at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater with director L.Twarkowski in the performance "Respublica".

She continues to collaborate with various artists as an independent creator, performer, educator, assistant while continuing to examine the constant flux in the global political climate and its resonance with the local cultural contexts of Berlin, Buenos Airės and Vilnius.
